I finished another block from Sun, Sand, and Sea Block of the Month. This was block 10 - "Making Waves" - and it was designed by Amy at Sew Incredibly Crazy. You may find her post here and the pattern here.
If you have followed my blog long, you may already know I love hand embroidery, but still consider myself a novice when it comes to machine sewing. I am doing better with getting my seams to line up, but clearly need more practice...
I only have one more block to make from this BOM before I can sew the quilt top together! This BOM has been so fun that I decided to participate in the It's a "Wild" Life BOM being hosted by Sew Incredibly Crazy and Friends this year.
Block 1 "Maple Leaves" was designed by Amy at Sew Incredibly Crazy. You may find her blog post here.
The pattern is available here at Craftsy. It is free throughout February.
Thank you for visiting!

The waves looks terrific to me! I'm going to make the leaves on Monday.
Your blocks look good. I suspect I won't do much traditional quilting. I hate that match thing. I'll probably gravitate more to modern quilts. Right now I'm stuck in hand stitching and loving it so very much.

Hi Renee! I think you have done a great job piecing these blocks. Good for you for trying something different.... always good to challenge yourself! Have a great weekend! Christine xx
Ha, ha, when I first looked at the pattern I didn't realize you were making some waves for the Sun and Sand quilt. I thought you were making dinosaurs!
You are doing really well with your patchwork!
I have some patchwork that is really calling to be finished, but it’s the machine quilting holding me up. Must practice more this year!
Looking forward to seeing your patchwork as it progresses.
Hugs,
Barbara xx
Great job on your waves!
I'm looking forward to seeing Freddie the flamingo surrounded by the other blocks. It's getting close!
I'm so scared of the sewing machine you are doing a lot better than anything I could do. Love the wave of course.
