This morning, I finished embellishing a block for Sandy B. in the Crazy Quilting International (CQI) Under the Sea Round Robin I have been participating in.
This is the last of Sandy's blocks to be embellished before they travel home to her.
I added a seahorse.
Several fish and a bit of a fishing net.
An anchor.
Some coral, seaweed and sea stars finished it off.
Now these beauties will travel home to Sandy.
She has one block left to embellish before she puts them all together in a project of her choice.
Working with this group of ladies has been so much fun!
For anyone new and wondering, CQI stands for Crazy Quilting International. This group of stitchers across the globe meet on Yahoo and on Facebook. There is also a CQI blog.
For those wondering what a round robin is, this post may be helpful.
I am linking up with Monday Stitchery Link Party #17 at Super Mom - No Cape! I encourage you to check it out! (For those of you that follow my blog, I know I planned to share progress of the QS Red Hearts cross-stitch the first Monday of each month. Last month was so crazy that I added zero stitches. I hope to have progress to share in September!)
Thanks for stopping by!

Fabulous block! The variegated thread for the seahorse and the fishing net were great ideas!
Hello Renee! Your block is fabulous! I love all the details.... when I have finished my latest ICQC classes, I think I may participate in one of the round robins, they sound like fun! Hope things are settling down for you after your busy time! :) x
Beautiful work, love all the different details
What a wonderful block that is. I love every detail, but I think the net and anchor are my favorite things, along with that fabulous seahorse, of course. You are becoming seahorse queen!
Love the way you embellished this block!
Thank you, Annet! It was another fun one to embellish. :)
The block you embellished for Sandy is so beautiful! From that amazing seahorse to the coral and sea stars to all the other details, there is just so much to look at and appreciate.
As with the other sets you've shown us... seeing all the blocks together like that shows off each stitchers individual style and yet somehow they all seem to work together.
Thanks for linking up again to this week's Stitchery Link Party and for linking back. Aloha hugs!
I love how you've embellished the block. That sea horse is adorable
Another gorgeous block!
