SK Effects of Caffeine - SAL Update 7

Only 31 stitches were added to my Heaven and Earth Designs Storykeep Effects of Caffeine cross-stitch project over the past 3 weeks.

Those stitches filled in more of the author's name on the spine of the book - I.M. DRAGGIN.

The title is: INVESTIGATING THE EFFECTS OF CAFFEINE ON THE MIND.

This is how it looked in my last update.

I should have more time to stitch before our June 9th update.

My progress these past 6 weeks has been minimal. However, looking at the larger picture, I have added 3,757 stitches since joining this SAL (stitch along) at the beginning of the year.

It is my hope you will visit the other bloggers participating in our SAL to see their progress! We are all working on different projects and live all over the world. As we are in different time zones, if there is not an update posted yet, please check back again later. Avis is fantastic and keeps us all organized. If you are interested in joining, you may find more details on her blog.

I know how it feels feeling like not much progress has been made. After looking at the stats makes it feel more satisfying about all the time you've put into it! It's looking great!

Not to worry. Just stitch as much as you like, when you like. That's the rules :-)

Well, ten stitches per week is better than none at all! And it's not like this piece is going to up and walk away while you're busy doing other things. ;-)

Some weeks are like that - filled with things other than stitching, your caffeine project will still be there waiting for the time when you do have time.

As I always say, every stitch counts...each moves the work forward. And sometimes the mood is just not there to be stitching. But I have to admit, I'm curious to see this piece in its entirety.

That makes 31 stitches closer to finishing lol. The aim of a hobby is to enjoy what you are doing - how fast this is achieved is not the point.

I swear the warmer weather has slowed down our needles. Beautiful progress though.

You know, some weeks are like that! Real life gets in the way. 😜 I know you are hoping for more free time this round!

That's how it often is for me -- and then sometimes (like this past stretch for me) I manage to be super productive. But as I've been reminded before, stitching is something we do for fun, so we should enjoy it whenever we can!

At least you did some :)

Looks great. I have to remember too, any progress is better, then no progress.

Sometimes we just don’t get as much time to stitch as we’d like! But I would say you are making great progress on this piece, and it looking brilliant.

I hope you find time for more stitches. That's a lot of stitches added in the last five months, so it averages. And it isn't a race anyway, right? =) Some days I get a lot done and some days nothing.

You're moving forward, even if it's not at the rate you'd like to be!

It's hard to fit everything in that we would like to do but, a few stitches are stitches in the right direction! Hugs Christine xx
