Here it is April, and I am finally working on my February block for the Crazy Quilt Journal Project (CQJP) 2016.
That being said, I actually managed to stitch this in March. With it being a February block, a heart seemed fitting.
The heart was traced from a quilting template and stem-stitched with red size 8 Anchor pearl cotton. I sketched our initials within the heart and stem-stitched them with black size 8 Anchor pearl cotton.
It looks a bit plain now, but my plans for the seams nearby should dress up some of the white seen here.
If time allows, I hope to complete this block within the next week.
Thank you so much for stopping by!
Renee
CQJP 2016 is a personal stitching challenge to complete a block a month. You may learn more about it here. If you are interested in joining next year, sign ups for CQJP generally open up in November and close in December.

Such a sweet heart - and even better that it's personalized.
The heart is pretty and it looks like it is made for my husband and me. You used our initials on it.

A very pretty start to your February CQJP block.... looking forward to seeing more! Christine x
Such a simple but pretty little motif. Brings back childhood doodling memories, lol.

Lovely heart - reminds me of a tree carving. =) I know it will be the center of a beautiful area. Good luck with getting it all done this week. It IS possible! I have one more seam to go on my March block, which I just started a week ago. I have to get stitching on the April post card so I can make the April block! You're going to catch up soon. =)
Looks beautiful to me!
