TAST Stitch 55: Up and Down Buttonhole Stitch
I worked the Up and Down Buttonhole Stitch with a size 5 variegated DMC pearl cotton.
It is my hope to catch up on a few more stitches to share next week.
TAST stands for Take a Stitch Tuesday. It is a personal stitching challenge offered by Sharon B. on Facebook and on her blog, pintangle.com. You may read more about it here. If you follow the TAST Facebook group, you know some incredibly inspiring examples of these stitches are being shared. Anyone may join at any time during the challenge.

Beautiful stitches Renee! I loved stitching this stitch.... it looks so different too depending on how far apart the vertical stitches are and in whic direction.... lovely! Christine x
I liked this stitch from the moment I made the first one. It is especially nice on curves and circles. Perfect for cq blocks, too.
That's a good stitch on a curve. I'll have to remember that!
I really like how this stitch falls into place. Well done!

This is a lovely yet simple stitch. How fun to try so many different stitch styles.
Very evenly stitched and looks lovely in the soft variegation.
The stitch can be altered to so many designs and lengths too. I like using the perle thread for TAST stitching.
It's a stitch I use often in hand sewing. It's so versatile.
Great stitch!
This stitch looks funny in some way.
