Happy 2016!

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season and that 2016 brings you great health and joy!

The past few weeks, I have been thinking about my hopes and aspirations for 2016.

This year I will be participating in a few cross stitch stitch-a-longs (SALs). I will be working on Twilight Duel (for my 16-year-old son) for the Heaven and Earth Designs SAL with the Cross Stitch and Discuss Facebook group. I will be joining the Stitchy Start blog this year. This does require a new start, but my 18-year-old son finally found a project that he would like me to stitch for him. I found the chart at Charting Creations. After receiving permission, I added a cover photo of the "Fractal White Tiger" chart to my sidebar. It is based on artwork by Ricky Barnard licensed by Shutterstock.com. (As soon as I finish this post, I will be starting this project! Everything I need is in the photo above.)

For the moment, my plan is to do 3 day rotations with Fractal White Tiger, Twilight Duel, and QS Red Hearts. That gives me at least 9 days with each project each month.

The Crazy Quilt Journal Project (CQJP) 2016 is something else I am quite excited about. I plan to create a lap quilt with the blocks I embellish this year and keep it for my hubby and me. I spent most of the afternoon piecing the first two blocks.

This year, I will continue participating with the 1 X-mas Item a Month blog. Rather than trying to make individual gifts, I will be finishing up a few time consuming projects and sharing updates (and hopefully a few finishes) each month.

On Mondays, I will continue linking up with the Monday Stitchery Link Parties at Super Mom - No Cape! (I do hope you will join us!)

On Tuesdays, I will continue sharing my Take a Stitch Tuesday (TAST) posts. New stitches will be posted at Pintangle.com.

In the next few weeks, I hope to add all of the blogs I follow to the sidebar of my blog. (It will take me a while, so if I frequently visit your blog and you do not see it listed, I promise it is not an intentional slight!) I will also be updating my UFO and TAST pages.

So much to do and so little time... Now, I am off to relax and stitch just a bit.

Thank you so much for stopping by!
Renee

Wonderful plans for the new year, and I'll be following right along cheering from the sidelines. I can't believe your new project has even MORE stitches than Twilight Duel! Those boys are keeping you busy. ;) I really like your winter block banner. Happy new year, and best wishes for a year of finishes!

Holy Cow!! You are pretty darned organized and lots of projects to participate in. I can admire that and be just a little jealous...if I had a jealous bone in my body, which I don't think I do!!
Happy new year.

Looks like a great list, Renee. Hmmmm. maybe I should sit down and figure out my goals and commitments. I think I may already have taken on too much....but we'll wee. I just love to do everything - it's so hard to say 'no'.

ooooh - I love that tiger!! Good thing I don't have to choose between the dragon and the tiger, because I couldn't. Both pieces are amazing! Sounds like you have a busy year planned. It will be fun to follow along.
