TAST 2021: Chain, Fly and Detached Chain Stitch

TAST is Take a Stitch Tuesday. It is a challenge offered by Sharon Boggon at Pintangle.com to learn a new stitch each week. There is no pressure and you can go at your own pace.

Week 1: Chain Stitch
I used Sharon Boggon's Stitching Templates to create this crazy quilt motif and used the chain stitch to create flower stems.

Flowers were created with sets of 5 detached chain stitches.

Week 2: Fly Stitch
Leaves were created with fly stitches.
Pink rhinestone beads were added to complete these flowers.

I also used the fly stitch to embellish a crazy quilt seam. Each fly stitch created a flower stem with leaves and pink glass seed beads created tiny flower buds.

Thank you for stopping by. I am wishing you all a fantastic week!

Twilight Duel: SAL Update 19

Another 3 weeks have flown by. Life has been insanely busy. In fact, I have had so many demands on my time recently that my amazing husband insisted I take a day this weekend to just relax. As a result, page 15 of Twilight Duel is now complete!

There is just a partial page to complete this row of pages.

The photo above shows how it looked in our last update.

I do hope you will hop over to see what everyone else has been working on. We each select our own project to work on and share an update every 3rd Sunday. As we are in different time zones, if a post is not up, please check back later.

Our next update will be on April 11th.

Thank you all for the comments in my last update. Six days was a long time to go without power. We have amazing neighbors that shared their generator until the one we ordered arrived. And we were very lucky. There were residents nearby that went 12 to 13 days without power or water. We have definitely worked on improving our emergency kits.

Thank you for stopping by!
