Twilight Duel - SAL Update 2

The photo above shows the progress from our last update on my Heaven and Earth Designs (HAED) Twilight Duel cross-stitch project, based on the amazing artwork of Ruth Thompson. (You may see more of her art that HAED has charted here, if you are interested.)

My progress on Page 9 through our last update may be seen in the photo above. The picture below shows how it looks now.

Some of my recent stitching is also working onto Page 10 (which is just above page 9 in this photo.) The tail, part of the black dragon's leg and the sky are filling in.

1,015 stitches have been added since our last update.
The project is now 47.87% complete. (It was 47.18%)
Page 9 is now 42.02% complete. (It was 29.3%)
Page 10 is now 2.56% complete. (It was 1.41%.)

USA Road Trip Challenge:
I am participating in a USA Road Trip Challenge through the Stitchtalk HAED Challenges Facebook Group. There is a list of 108 destinations beginning and ending in Florida. There are 32,364 miles (stitches) in the challenge.

I made it through Destination #29: Campobello Island (the first 4,339 miles) with the Storykeep Effects of Caffeine.

March 8th: 4,808 miles (stitches) traveled, passing through Destination #31: Old Port Maine.

Today: 5,823 miles (stitches) traveled, passing through Destination #36 - the Gerald Ford Presidential Museum in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

I do hope you will hop over to see what the other crafty bloggers in our Stitch Along (SAL) have been up to! Our next update will be on April 19th. If you are interested in joining, visit Sewing Beside the Sea through the first link below. Avis is fabulous at keeping us all motivated.

  1. Gosh, Renee, that design eats up the stitches, doesn't it? It's coming along nicely, and you did get a lot of stitches done the last three weeks. I love your travel idea. That's a lot of stitches and a lot of in-place travel this year!
