SK Effects of Caffeine - SAL Update 1

I began working on my Heaven and Earth Designs (HAED) Storykeep Effects of Caffeine in October of 2015 because I love Randal Spangler's work and I needed a new travel project. (You may see the art this chart is based on here.)

Now that I am working full-time, my goal is to spend at least a few minutes on this piece during my lunch breaks. In December I asked Avis, at Sewing Beside the Sea, if I could join her SAL (stitch along.) Members of this SAL share progress on one project every 3 weeks, which seems like a perfect routine for sharing updates on this cross-stitch project. And I love the work I have seen through the other blogs I follow that are participating with this SAL.

The photo above shows how it looked on January 1st. I hope to have more visible progress on our next SAL update, on February 3rd.

January 1 - 12: Stitched 7 days for a total of 3.85 hours. 452 stitches added.

4,842 of 23,660 stitches are complete.
The project is 20.46% complete. (It was 18.55%.)
Page 1 (of 4) is 76.01% complete. (It was 68.92%.)

I do hope you will join me in visiting the other SAL participants to see what they are working on and to cheer them on. Links are below. I would love to thank everyone in the SAL for the warm welcome.

Avis, Claire, Gun, Carole, LucyAnn, Kate, Jess, Sue, Constanze, Debbierose, Christina, Kathy, Margaret, Cindy, Helen, Steph, Linda, Heidi, Jackie, Sunny, Hayley, Megan, Catherine, Deborah, Connie, Clare, Mary MargaretJenny

Thank you for visiting!
Renee

  5. Welcome Renee! When I was working in an office full time, I also used lunch to do a little stitching. It was what got me to actually eat lunch and take a break from work! I look forward to seeing your progress!

  10. A big welcome to our small but very supportive group Renee. This is a fun project and love the little dragon at the bottom. I have a HAED in my UFO pile so I know how much work is in them. I will look forward to seeing more of your work as it grows.
