Dyed Fabric

I dyed two small pieces of fabric. The one on the right is a light blue and the one on the left is more of a blue-green. (Both need to be ironed.)

Some of you may remember when I took the Intermediate Crazy Quilt Course #102 from Kathy Shaw back in 2015. I used techniques from that class.

I plan to embroider on each of these and hope to have one finished to share by the end of the month.

Thank you for stopping by!

  1. Looks very interesting, Renee. Now I'm curious to see what you will stitch on the fabric.

  3. Pretty colors. I thought, until I did the close up, that there were silvery lines through the fabric, too. I know you will stitch something beautiful on them!

  4. They look beautiful. I went to a retreat once and we dyed fabrics. It was a mess. I enjoyed it but would much rather just buy the one I like and let someone else make the mess haha.

  5. Can't wait to see what you stitch on these - dyeing isn't something I've done much of (at least beyond using tea and coffee to dye)

  6. I haven't done much dyeing of fabric, but often use crayons or paint to add colour to sections of fabric.
