CQI Holiday Fabric Postcard Swap

I am so glad I decided to participate in the CQI* Holiday Fabric Postcard Swap that Wilma organized!

Just look at this lovely postcard I received in the mail!  Several of the ladies in this swap were a bit new to fabric postcard swaps and we wondered if we dared send ours out unprotected or if we should use an envelope.

Carol K. made this lovely postcard and mailed it just as you see it in these photos (well, without the paper I used to keep her last name and my address private...) It traveled through the post beautifully. I must admit, I love having the postmarked stamp on the back, too!

Thank you, Carol! I just love my postcard!!!

If you missed my previous post, here is the postcard I created for the swap. I mailed it to the Netherlands in this clear plastic envelope.

*CQI stands for Crazy Quilting International. I am one of four moderators in this crazy quilting group that meets on both Yahoo! and on Facebook. Photos of the postcards shared within this swap will be featured on the CQI blog later this week!

Thank you for stopping by!
Renee

I have often wondered about these textile cards that I sometimes see on several blogs. What a nice idea to have such a postcard swap. I love both, the one you made and the one you received.

Both beautiful cards Renee and it is fun to see that the card you received travelled safely through the post... the stamped mark is nice to have! Christine x

Wow beautiful. I could never throw it in the mail. Some of my plain envelopes arrive all ripped up.

I guess my question about you participating in postcard swaps was just answered!!! That is lovely. The details are so pretty.

Both Christmas cards are lovely.

I'm never game to mail mine in the cellophane envelopes but do receive, safely, many from several parts of the world, in them.

Merry Christmas Renee and thanks for a year of interesting viewing here.

What a fun swap! I would never be able to bring myself to put such a pretty thing directly into the mail - I'd be so afraid someone would steal it.
